This farm is 1.25 miles from east to west, with lot of hills and draws scattered from one end to the other, awesome terrain that you cannot see from just the aerial. Apprx. 115 acres of crop fields (beans and corn), and 115 acres of tall Native American Grasses and timber. The native grass across these rolling hills provides cover on nearly the entire property, making it loaded with deer come fall. Deer have everything they need from food, water, and cover. To book this property will be a $460 deposit to secure and then the remaining balance paid in full by a cashier check within 21 days of booking.

Requirements and Restrictions

You can bring your own stands and/or blinds. No driving in the fields if muddy. Be respectful to growing crops and keep vehicles away/off of them.

Spring Turkey Season

Youth Dates: April 6 - 7

Notes: Youth hunters who are age 6-15 on opening day may hunt.

Permit Price: $8.50

Dates: April 15 - May 5

Notes: Only one turkey may be taken during the first week of the season. If you do not take one during the first week, then you may take two during the second or third weeks of the season, but you may not take them both on the same day. Anyone using a turkey call to assist another hunter must be properly licensed with either a filled or unfilled spring turkey hunting permit.

Deer Archery

Dates: Sept 15 - Nov 15 and Nov 27 - Jan 15

Notes: Archer's Hunting Permit: two deer of either sex. Only one antlered deer may be taken before November 11. Hunters may purchase and fill any number of archery antlerless deer hunting permits in open counties. You may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined. Allowed Weapons: Longbows, compound bows, and recurve bows of any draw weight, Crossbows, Hand-held string-releasing devices, Illuminated sights, scopes, and quickpoint sights, Atlatls

Deer Firearms (November Portion)

Dates: Nov 16 - 26

Notes: Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined). You may take only two antlered deer during the archery and firearms deer hunting seasons combined. The antler-point restriction apply in some counties. Each county limits the number of antlerless deer hunting permits you can fill during the entire firearms season. See map for county antlerless restrictions.

Youth Firearms Seasons

Dates: Nov 2 - 3 and Nov 29 - Dec 1

Notes: The antler-point restriction does not apply during the youth portions of the deer season. To participate, you must be at least 6 and no older than 15 on the opening day of the early youth portion. Only one deer (of either sex) may be taken during the early youth portion. If you have more than one permit, you must use them in another portion. Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined).

Deer Firearms Alternative Methods

Dates: Dec 28 - Jan 7

Notes: Only one antlered deer may be taken during the entire firearms season (all portions combined). If you want to take additional antlered deer, you must hunt on an archer’s hunting permit during the archery deer season or in a managed hunt where antlered deer can be taken.
